Description: One area of confusion has been how the wine is titled; Gavi, Cortese di Gavi, Gavi di Gavi to name but a few. The only difference in naming is that a Gavi di Gavi wine indicates that grapes are from vineyards within the township of Gavi itself, whereas other labels can use grapes from the surrounding communes.

Gavi is a great Italian white wine and whether you think that Gavi di Gavi and Gavi are two different wines or not, that one is better than the other, there is only one appellation, the Gavi DOCG.

Vinification: The grapes undergo soft pressing in order to obtain a high-quality grape must, which is then fermented at a low controlled temperature. Once the fermentation process is completed, the wine rests on fine lees for 6 months until the bottling phase

Food Match: Also well paired with Shell fish, light pastas with creamy fish sauces, salads and risottos.

At the heart of Veeno lies our own vineyard in Sicily, Caruso & Minini, where generations of winemaking expertise come to life.

Our family has been producing wine for over a century, cultivating indigenous grape varieties such as Nero d’Avola, Grillo, and Zibibbo. These wines are crafted using a balance of tradition and innovation, ensuring that each bottle delivers a genuine taste of Italy. By producing our own wines, we can guarantee exceptional quality, consistency, and authenticity—something that sets Veeno apart from the rest.

Our wine selection is a carefully curated journey through Italy’s finest regions.

We specialise in wines from our own Sicilian vineyard while also showcasing a hand-picked collection from other premium Italian winemakers. Many of these wines come from small, independent producers—hidden gems that you won’t find on supermarket shelves. These boutique winemakers focus on quality over quantity, producing wines with true personality and a sense of place. Our range includes everything from light and refreshing whites like Inzolia and Falanghina to bold, complex reds like Barbera and Nero d’Avola. Whether you’re a seasoned wine connoisseur or just beginning your exploration, our wines are selected to ensure a rich, enjoyable experience.
