Description

It shouldn’t be a surprise that our top red is made of a non- indigenous variety; Syrah is the best-adapted black grape in the western Sicilian soil. Two years of ageing in tonneaux have give it the Riserva Apellation. A combination of power and smoothness is supplemented by a touch of fruitiness made intriguing by a thin vein of oak. The harmonious roundness found in one’s mouth does not affect the fragrance of the fruit.

This magnum of our best red wine comes decoratively presented in a wooden box from the Caruso and Minini Vineyard in Sicily.

Vinification
Careful selection of the handpicked grapes. Maceration and fermentation of the destemmed grapes in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature of 25°C for 15-20 days. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Food Match
A strong wine that plays a main role at any table where it’s served. However, it maintains respect for all types of dishes, even the most delicate ones.

At the heart of Veeno lies our own vineyard in Sicily, Caruso & Minini, where generations of winemaking expertise come to life.

Our family has been producing wine for over a century, cultivating indigenous grape varieties such as Nero d’Avola, Grillo, and Zibibbo. These wines are crafted using a balance of tradition and innovation, ensuring that each bottle delivers a genuine taste of Italy. By producing our own wines, we can guarantee exceptional quality, consistency, and authenticity—something that sets Veeno apart from the rest.

Our wine selection is a carefully curated journey through Italy’s finest regions.

We specialise in wines from our own Sicilian vineyard while also showcasing a hand-picked collection from other premium Italian winemakers. Many of these wines come from small, independent producers—hidden gems that you won’t find on supermarket shelves. These boutique winemakers focus on quality over quantity, producing wines with true personality and a sense of place. Our range includes everything from light and refreshing whites like Inzolia and Falanghina to bold, complex reds like Barbera and Nero d’Avola. Whether you’re a seasoned wine connoisseur or just beginning your exploration, our wines are selected to ensure a rich, enjoyable experience.
